We left early on Monday morning from Kalmar towards north. We motored for the first two hours and then started beating towards the windward in a moderate breeze of about 7-8 m/s. We decided stay in Borgholm, since it would have taken far longer to get to the following harbour and we were getting hungry.
The day was sunny and warm, so we have now been enjoying the summer to our hearts’ content. When we were sailing from Finland towards Norway in the beginning of June, we already visited Borgholm
for the first time. That time, we met some friends and did not spend that much time to look around the town, so on Monday, we spent the rest of the day walking around. We also walked to the ruins of the Borgholm fortress originating from 12th century.
