My first visit to Isokari island in northern Kustavi took place almost fifteen years ago and I instantly fell in love with the nature on this beautiful island. Located in the northern part of Finnish Archipelago, the barren western side of the island offers magical views over to the open horizon of the Bothnian Sea and this is my utmost favourite place on the island.

Since 2007 I have been coming back almost every year. This season we visited Isokari in July in the end of our summer cruise and this time we had a chance to stay for two nights on the island. On the second evening the weather was on our side as the wind faded away making perfect conditions for photographing, filming and flying the Phantom2 quadcopter (with a GoPro Hero3 camera) over the western shoreline. I edited a short film based on this material, which is now ready to be published. Please watch the film in HD, for the best quality.
