Ascension Day weekend allowed us to cast-off already on Wednesday evening (the 20th of May) for a long weekend trip in the Archipelago. We were lucky with the weather as strong northerly winds were blowing on Wednesday and Thursday and then winds turned southerly for the weekend. We sailed to southern part of the Archipelago Sea and visited Björkö, which is one of our favourite natural harbours in the Archipelago National Park.

Wednesday evening’s anchorage on southern part of the Airisto.
Chasing the sun was the theme for Thursday’s leg. We took more westerly course as weather appeared to be sunnier there.
Best sailing of the season… we did 37 nm in 20 to 25 kts wind
Björkö is one of the finest natural harbours in the Archipelago Sea.
